glTF provides efficient transmission and loading of 3D scenes and models by a range of applications. glTF is also one the Khronos standards that enable photorealistic and configurable 3D products, specified by the 3D Commerce group.

In this webinar, we will talk about the latest open source glTF tools from Khronos and Blender, including the Blender glTF I/O, glTF Compressonator, and glTF Sample Viewer. The basic workflow we demonstrate in this one-hour webinar starts with a ray-traced 3D model in Blender, exports it to glTF, sets up image-based lighting using the glTF Compressonator, and finally deploys the assets to the glTF Sample Viewer. The goal is to help attendees understand the upcoming challenges for the production pipeline regarding the adaption of real-time 3D products rendering.

This webinar is appropriate for existing users of glTF and those considering it as their 3D asset format in 3D Commerce. It will be presented by Norbert Nopper from UX3D who is a member of the 3D Formats group and working on the glTF standard.

Following the presentation there will be time for Q&A. The presentation and Q&A will be conducted in English. When you sign up for the webinar, you will be sent the call-in information.
