Overview

The Khronos Group recently released the Khronos PBR Neutral Camera Tone Mapper which has been designed to make it easier for 3D content creators to produce true-to-life immersive experiences that match the vivid, real-life colors of real-world objects when using physically-based rendering (PBR) in eCommerce, visualization, CAD, AEC and GIS applications.

“A common pain point in 3D content creation is achieving vivid, real-life colors for 3D objects using physically-based rendering. The Khronos Neutral Camera Tone Mapper enables everyone in the content production pipeline to produce accurate, photorealistic models.” Emmett Lalish, staff software engineer, Google and Khronos Group glTF and 3D Commerce Working Group member.

Learning Objectives

In this webinar you will learn how to achieve true-to-life 3D color rendering that faithfully reproduces a product’s base color hue and saturation under grayscale lighting while eliminating HDR artifacts around highlights.

Additional Information

For additional background information attendees may find it useful to read the Khronos PBR Neutral Tone Mapper Announcement.  The announcement includes links to the specification, sample implementation, additional references, plus updates on the ecosystem tooling that already support the Tone Mapper.
